Happy Mother’s Day from BM Windows in San Diego!
We wanted to take a break from our usual blog posts about replacement windows to wish all of the moms out there a Happy Mother’s Day! We recognize that being a mom is one of the hardest jobs there is. In our opinion, there should be more than just one day a year when we celebrate the moms in our lives. But based on the moms we know, they wouldn’t have it any other way. Moms are the best at making sure everyone else is taken care of before they take any time for themselves. If you have a mom (or mother figure) in your life, make sure you take the time to make her day special. Don’t just do what you think you should do or get her the same gifts everyone else is giving their moms (or the mothers of their children) for Mother’s Day. Do what you know she would love. That may mean giving …
Window Art: A History of Stained Glass
The history of windows is an interesting study, but perhaps even more so is the history of stained glass windows. Used as a form of art in churches and other places, stained glass gives us glimpses into the periods of time when Gothic and Renaissance architecture flourished. Stained glass windows are basically a type of mosaic, made up of pieces of colored glass and fit together to form a design. The pieces are traditionally joined by thin lead strips. The colored glass is made either by adding metallic salts during the making of the glass, or painted on the glass after its manufacture, and then fused to the glass using a kiln. The earliest windows that could be called stained glass windows have been found in churches built in the 4th and 5th centuries, and were made of thinly sliced …
Getting to Know the BM Windows Sales Team for Replacement Windows in San Diego
One of the things that makes BM Windows different from other replacement window companies in San Diego is our exceptional sales team! While other companies train their sales representatives in high-pressure sales tactics and tell them to “never take ‘no’ for an answer,” we have a different approach at BM Windows. We hire sales team members that truly enjoy educating our customers about replacement windows and doors and helping them choose the best products for their homes that will also fit within their budgets. We receive so many compliments about our sales team. People find it refreshing to deal with sales representatives who don’t make them uncomfortable by pressuring them into buying replacement windows and doors before they’re ready to make a decision. We thought we’d introduce …
BM Windows Exceeds 100 5-Star Reviews on Yelp!
As a small business in San Diego, we depend heavily on word-of-mouth advertising and referrals to grow our business. Before the advent of the internet, this meant people had to ask friends and neighbors for recommendations on businesses to give their hard-earned money to. Now, it’s as easy as going to online review sites to see what customers have to say about their experience with a particular business. You no longer have to know someone who has personally used the business—you can rely on the candid, voluntary reviews of others in your community. One of the top review sites on the internet is Yelp. This site is visited by an average of 145 million people every month! And as of the end of 2016, there were more than 115 million reviews on the site—and that number grows every day. If …
