If you can’t remember a time when it rained more in July than it did this past July, that’s because it never has. The rainfall we saw in San Diego in July 2015 broke a record that had stood for more than 100 years! We also saw a record broken for the most rain in a single day in July, which happened on July 25th, breaking a record that had stood since 1902! Despite the record rain, BM Windows didn’t receive any calls about leaks on the replacement windows and doors we had previously installed for our San Diego customers. We did, however, get a call from a new customer who needed our help to repair leaky windows that had been installed by another local window company that is now out of business. We were happy to help them with the repair, and we hope we were able to gain a new, loyal …
Blog – San Diego Replacement Windows and Doors
Oceanside Replacement Window Customer Rates BM Windows Crew as “Excellent”
As you may know, BM Windows is located in beautiful San Diego, but our customers are located throughout San Diego County. We recently completed a job for a customer in Oceanside named Mike. He lives in a neighborhood of single family homes near Guajome Lake built in the 1980s. Like most houses built in the 80s, Mike’s home was definitely a good candidate for replacement windows and doors, even though the original windows appeared to be in good shape. Modern windows are much more energy-efficient than the windows that were commonly installed in homes 30 plus years ago, so replacing them is a smart investment when you consider the cost of heating and cooling your home over the long term. New windows also are much better for sound insulation—important for this particular customer, whose …
Take Advantage of the San Diego Weather with Replacement Casement Windows
San Diego has the unique distinction of having beautiful weather pretty much year-round. San Diego customers should keep that in mind when considering what type of replacement windows to put in their homes. Casement windows are second only to patio doors in the amount of fresh air and sunlight they let into a house, allowing you to enjoy the San Diego climate even when you are indoors. A casement window usually contains a single glass panel that is hinged on one side and opens outward like a door (not to be confused with an awning window that is hinged at the top and opens upward). Casement windows are operated with an easy-to-use crank. Typically, a casement window can be opened up to 90 degrees from the building, allowing for a great amount of airflow into your home. Casement …
Another Stellar Review from a Satisfied San Diego Customer
We recently completed a window installation in San Diego at a condominium located on the Oaks North Golf Course. This condo was built in 1985 and the owner, like many of our customers, wanted to upgrade the original windows to make them more modern and energy-efficient. We installed a total of eight replacement windows, as well as a replacement three-panel door at this San Diego home. The owner, William, was extremely satisfied with the outcome. On our Customer Installation Inspection Checklist that we have all of our customers fill out at the end of any installation, William was given the option of rating the performance of our installation crew as either “Excellent,” “Satisfactory” or “Poor.” William decided to make his own category, “Very Excellent,” and checked that box! In the …
