April 3-9, 2016 is National Window Safety Week, sponsored by the Window Safety Task Force of the National Safety Council, so we thought it would be a good idea to let you know about some of the things you can do in your San Diego home to keep your family safe when it comes to your windows. There are two main concerns when talking about window safety: the ability to use your windows as an escape in the case of an emergency, and preventing accidental falls out of second-story windows. Making Sure Your Windows Can Serve as an Escape Route As you probably know, building codes require that every bedroom in your house has an egress window—a window large enough to serve as an escape route in case of a fire or another emergency. The California Building Code requires that windows have a clear …

Escondido Customer Raves About the “Terrific” Team at BM Windows
Abby K. of Escondido is one of the latest BM Windows customers who left us a glowing review on Yelp. We wanted to share some of her review with you, because it will give you a good idea of what you can expect when you work with the team at BM Windows for replacement windows and doors. Abby starts by saying that during her initial phone call to BM Windows, she spoke with our receptionist, April. As she talked with April about her broken sliding glass door, she said, “April made me feel like I was sitting next to her with her arm on my shoulder comforting me.” At BM Windows, we always make sure to take the time to really listen to our customers. Everyone from our receptionist to our installers are trained to help our customers in any way they can, so they get the products that are right …
Honest Consumer Information for San Diego Replacement Window Customers
It’s hard to find honest, reliable information these days. You’d think it would be easy with so much information readily available at your fingertips on the internet, but it seems as if the sheer volume of data, opinions, and advertisements has made it more difficult to find the information about replacement doors and windows most consumers are looking for—good, old-fashioned, honest advice and easy-to-understand information! At BM Windows, educating our San Diego customers on replacement windows and doors has always been one of our top priorities. We’ve designed our website to be a resource for consumer information. We have a section that outlines the various types of window and door products available, a replacement window buying guide, a glossary of window terms, frequently asked …
Helping You Find the Best Replacement Windows and Doors in San Diego for your Budget
Shopping for replacement windows and doors for your San Diego home can be confusing. There are so many options out there when it comes to products, and virtually every company selling those products says they offer “the best replacement windows and doors.” Buying replacement windows and doors is kind of like buying a new car. Anything you buy will most likely be an upgrade from what you currently have, but not all of your options are “the best.” With cars, and with windows and doors, you want to consider performance, features, warranties, and of course, price. If you want the best in quality, performance, and features when it comes to windows and doors, we can certainly provide you with those products, but they will come at a higher price. However, if you are more budget-minded, there are …
BM Windows Moving to a New Larger Location in San Diego
We are excited to announce that the BM Windows office, showroom, and warehouse will be moving locations this Spring. We have been busting at the seams for a while now, so when a larger space near our current location became available, we took advantage of it! The new space, which is only a few doors down from the space in which we now reside, is about twice the size. This will allow us to add more office space for our growing staff, and give us a larger warehouse so we are able to have more inventory on hand. In addition, we will have a bigger showroom, so customers will be able to see more options for replacement windows and doors. We will also have more room for consultations with customers in our new space. Of course, we can still come to your San Diego home for a replacement …
