Just about everyone knows someone who has had a nightmare experience with a San Diego home improvement “expert.” Whether it’s a general contractor, plumber, electrician, or replacement window company, there are many out there that overpromise and underdeliver—or worse—those who are just outright criminals who take your money and never finish the job! These types of issues are so common, there is even an entire website dedicated to them. San Diego homeowner Jody Costello started the website Contractors from Hell after her experience with a general contracting company that took her money, never completed her job, and caused expensive damage to her home. Jody was forced to take legal action against the company to recoup some of the money. She has since dedicated her time to protecting San …

We are looking for a local San Diego nonprofit organization to partner with. We would love to find a reputable organization that provides assistance to local veterans in need, disabled veterans, or the families of fallen …

When it comes to your replacement windows, there are a couple of problems that can occur during the cold and rainy season. However, both have simple remedies that any homeowner can do on their own in a matter of minutes, and without any special tools. Condensation on Your Replacement Windows When the outside temperature drops, there is often an increase in condensation on the interior glass of replacement windows, which makes windows cloudy. This occurs when there is excess water vapor in the air. When the moist air comes in contact with a cold surface, like window glass, condensation occurs. The humidity inside your home can be caused by a number of everyday activities, including showering, …
