You can also report the contactor to the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) and possibly get the contractor’s license suspended or revoked, and no contractor wants to risk that!

With a handyman, you have no recourse if anything goes wrong with your project—other than taking them to court.

Hiring a licensed contractor also means that you are hiring someone who has gone through the process to become licensed—which requires individuals to prove their knowledge and experience in the trade. C-17 contractors will have been tested specifically on their knowledge of windows and proper window installation.
