After the abnormal state that our industry has been in for the last couple of years (high consumer demand, coupled with supply chain issues), things are finally starting to return to normal. Wait times for new windows and doors are now much shorter they have been. The prices on replacement windows and doors are also stabilizing.

New Tax Credits for Replacement Windows and Doors in 2023
Back in the fall, the president signed the Inflation Reduction Act that includes some new tax credits for homeowners who complete energy-efficient upgrades in their homes, such as the installation of new windows and doors. As of January 1st, 2023, those tax credits are now available!
You can get a tax credit for up to $600 for replacement windows, and up to $500 for replacement doors, as long as the windows and/or doors you have installed are Energy Star certified. The good news is—all the replacement windows and doors we sell at BM Windows are Energy Star certified!

Getting the tax credit requires very little work on your behalf. When you file your 2023 taxes next year, simply indicate the type of energy-saving upgrade you did to your home and how much you spent, and you will get the applicable tax credit. That amount will either be refunded to you with your tax return, or it will be taken off the amount you owe the federal government for the year.
