Several years ago, our San Diego replacement window company decided to have a tool built for our website that would help homeowners visualize what their home could look like with replacement windows. We call it our Design Center. We created it for all of the people out there who have trouble picturing the kind of change new windows could make in their home.
Since its creation, more than 4,000 people have used the tool, and those 4,000 people have created approximately 25,000 configurations using the various styles of homes and window and door options. We are so happy to see that homeowners are benefitting from this helpful tool!

If you aren’t yet familiar with our Design Center, here’s how it works: First, you select a home from one of our available options that most closely resembles the style of your own home. The styles include Single Story Bungalow, Smaller Ranch Home, Two-Story Coastal Area Home, Modern Coastal Area Home, and Condominium. Those five styles cover the majority of the homes found in San Diego County. Once you select a style, you can then change the exterior features to make it look even more like your home. You can change the roof, the wall material and color, and add some trim.
Then, it’s time to add new windows and doors. You can select from several different styles of replacement windows and patio doors and place them in the openings.
In the third set of options, you get to select from all of the available window trim colors and add some grids to the windows, if desired. Maybe you have thought about adding windows with black trim to your house, but weren’t sure if you would actually like the look. Well, now you can get a good idea of how they will look in a house that is similar to yours. Or maybe you want to see what other grid patterns are available and whether or not they will complement the style of your house. You can see that too!
San Diego homeowners aren’t the only ones who have seen the value in our Design Center. A couple of national window brands have reached out to our company and inquired about using our tool on their own websites. So far, we have declined. But fortunately for replacement window shoppers, the tool is available and free for anyone to use, regardless of whether or not they live in San Diego.
Creating tools like our Design Center is just one of the ways we help our customers make the most informed decisions possible. We want everyone to be fully satisfied with their purchase of replacement windows, and giving them a “sneak peek” into what their home can look like with new windows has been a great help to many of our customers.
If you’re considering replacement windows and haven’t yet checked out our Design Center, we invite you to do so. Like we said before, it’s free to use, and we don’t require you to give us your email address or phone number to access it. So, go ahead, play around with it. Find out what you like as far as window and door styles and options. And when you’re ready to get a quote on new windows, contact us to set up an appointment with one of our friendly, no-pressure team members.
