Residential Windows Vs. Commercial Windows

To the casual observer, it may seem like there is no difference between residential windows and the commercial windows used in storefronts and office buildings, but they actually are quite different. They differ in the materials used, as well as in the installation methods that are employed.

Commercial grade windows are built to support a much larger load than residential windows, and since they are typically larger, they need to be more wind resistant. This requires their frames to be heavier duty and the glass to be thicker.
