BM Windows Exceeds 100 5-Star Reviews on Yelp!

As a small business in San Diego, we depend heavily on word-of-mouth advertising and referrals to grow our business. Before the advent of the internet, this meant people had to ask friends and neighbors for recommendations on businesses to give their hard-earned money to. Now, it’s as easy as going to online review sites to see what customers have to say about their experience with a particular business. You no longer have to know someone who has personally used the business—you can rely on the candid, voluntary reviews of others in your community.

One of the top review sites on the internet is Yelp. This site is visited by an average of 145 million people every month! And as of the end of 2016, there were more than 115 million reviews on the site—and that number grows every day.

If you’re not familiar with Yelp, it’s a site that allows customers to go online and offer a rating and review of any business that has a Yelp profile. Ratings are given in the form of “stars,” with 5 stars being the best, and 1 star being the worst.

Recently, BM Windows’s Yelp profile exceeded 100 customer reviews with 5-Star rankings! As far as we can tell, we are the only replacement window and door company in San Diego that can make this claim! According to Yelp’s own statistics, only 46% of reviews on Yelp are 5-star reviews. However, as of this writing, 97% of our replacement window and door customers in San Diego gave BM Windows a 5-star review!

Yelp released a study a few years ago that found that if a customer had a good service experience with a company, they were five times more likely to give a business a 5-star review. This statistic may explain the high number of 5-star reviews received by BM Windows, since we’ve always placed a high priority on customer service and making sure our customers have a great experience purchasing replacement windows and doors from our company.

Our next goal: to be one of the few businesses on Yelp that has received more than 1,000 reviews. According to Yelp, only 2,371 businesses in the world can make that claim (that’s only .08% of the businesses on Yelp). But, as our San Diego replacement window and door business grows, we are able to work with more and more San Diego homeowners who are looking for quality, energy-efficient replacement windows and doors at a fair price, so we think this is a reasonable goal, even for a local replacement window and door business like us.
